The market’s influence within the design represents opportunity, commerce, and community.

Joseph Jenkins Roberts Monument

Featured within the artwork is a tribute to Joseph Jenkins Roberts, Liberia’s first President and one of the nation’s founding figures. His leadership helped establish Liberia as Africa’s first modern republic. The monument serves as a reminder of independence, self-governance, and the vision that shaped the country.

The Liberia National Museum

The National Museum preserves Liberia’s cultural heritage, historical artifacts, and stories that connect generations. Its inclusion in the design honors the importance of remembering where we come from while continuing to build where we are going.

Liberia’s Natural Beauty

Elements inspired by Liberia’s lush landscapes and green environments are woven into the artwork to showcase the country’s rich natural resources, tropical scenery, and enduring connection to the land.

How the Design Comes Together

Rather than displaying each landmark separately, the jersey merges them into a single layered composition beneath the LONESTARS branding and the historic 1847 reference—the year Liberia declared independence. The blend of architecture, monuments, marketplaces, and landscapes creates a visual timeline that reflects Liberia’s journey from foundation to modern-day culture.

The black base symbolizes strength and resilience, while the red accents represent sacrifice, passion, and the enduring spirit of a nation that continues to inspire its people around the world.
